On weekdays, the luge forest tracks are almost empty, giving you the thrill of navigating hairpin turns to your heart's content! Along the way, you'll pass the boundary between grasslands and woodlands, where white steam rises from the ground—natural geothermal geysers that are truly eye-opening! ｜Transportation｜ It takes about 3 hours to drive from Auckland. The city's attractions are conveniently located, parking is easy, and bus shuttles are also an option. ｜Recommendations｜ For this trip, I chose to stay in a camper trailer booked through a B&B. Stepping inside felt like entering a tiny magical house. Though compact, it was fully equipped, with every drawer hiding delightful surprises. At night, the warm glow of small lights created a cozy and healing atmosphere—an unexpected highlight of the trip. Highly recommended for travelers seeking a unique experience!
