#mytraveldiary Spending an afternoon at Villa Borghese was the perfect escape from the Roman bustle. This massive park is a true green heart for the city. We rented a rowboat on the little lake, which was incredibly peaceful, and the view of the Temple of Asclepius was like something out of a painting. Wandering through the winding paths, we stumbled upon beautiful statues and fountains. The highlight was definitely finding a quiet spot to just sit and relax under the shade of the ancient trees, watching people bike and jog by.
