tips on saving money at iconic Roman sites

#europeonbudget Visit the iconic Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill using the combined ticket for savings! Highly discourage getting the ‘full experience’ ticket as the spaces are often too crowded for guided tours to be particularly enjoyable. Furthermore, there are plenty of informative signs to conduct a self-guided tour. If you are unsure if you are interested in history, you can also walk around the edges of the whole compound for free to see if you want to find out more. There are free water points throughout the complex so you can save money on buying water. Food is also allowed inside so you can bring a packed lunch #summervacay #travel #history #thingstodo

Rome in a Day: Culture, Shopping, and Ancient Wonders 🏛️🛍️☀️ Ready for an amazing Roman adventure? Enjoy Western-style architecture and outdoor cultural landscapes as you hop between legendary sites, shop till you drop, and soak up those sunny city vibes! With a Rome hop-on-hop-off bus, getting around is a breeze—maximise your time and see it all. Start at the iconic Colosseum (Piazza del Colosseo, 1)—snap insta-worthy close-ups of those epic arches and don’t miss the view with the Arch of Constantine right beside it for double the photo power! Tickets cost 175.0, so grab yours early and note that admissions end an hour before closing. Be sure to arrive before 11 AM to beat both the crowds and the midday rush. Next, cruise by Piazza Venezia for jaw-dropping modern architecture and people-watching galore. Snap some horse-and-carriage shots, then stroll to Trevi Fountain (Piazza di Trevi)—get your coin toss video at sunrise for magical light and fewer tourists. From there, swing by the whimsical Fontana Barcaccia at Piazza di Spagna—a tranquil spot that’s perfect for reflecting and outdoor photography. Shopping tip: The areas between Piazza Venezia and Piazza di Spagna are shopping heaven! Look for designer stores and local boutiques just off the main squares. Personal tip: Stay alert for pickpockets, especially in crowded zones or near major landmarks—keep your bag zipped and close. The hop-on-hop-off bus is a lifesaver, letting you skip the hassle and travel door-to-door across all attractions. #Rome #CityExploration #CultureTrip #PhotoSpots #TravelTips#travel #daisydayah
