Marvelling at the Minerva

The Basilica of Saint Mary of Minerva, famous for its unusual elephant obelisk is the only example of an original Gothic architecture church building in Rome. The interior of the church is beautiful, it contains mediaeval tombs and even a sculpture by Michelangelo, all of which can be seen for free. The church is just behind the Pantheon so make sure you check out this church if you’re visiting the Pantheon #europetravel #italy #rome #basilica
