What to see in Poro Romano

📍Foro Romano Places in the photo 1️⃣ Arch of Septimius Severus This is the arch located at the northwest end of the Foro Romano, the innermost part of the entrance. It is said to have been built in 204 AD by the Roman Emperor Septimius Severus to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his accession to the throne and the victory of his two sons Caracalla and Geta in battle. 2️⃣ Temple of DIVO ANTONINO ET DIVA FAUSTINA This is the temple of the god Antonius and Faustina. It is said that Emperor Antonius built it to honor his deceased empress. DIVO means god and DIVA means goddess. The meaning here seems to be the emperor and empress. 3️⃣ Temple of Saturn The Temple of Saturn is said to have been built to commemorate the enactment of the Licinius Sextius law, which allowed commoners to become consuls.
