Sandstone pagoda, Wat Pa Kung or Wat Prachakom Wanaram The first large pagoda made from natural sandstone in Thailand. It is considered a beautiful and grand religious tourist attraction. The construction model is from Borobudur in Indonesia. It was built to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the 60th anniversary of the stone pagoda construction when the Venerable Luang Pu Sri Maha Wiro, a famous meditation master from the Northeast, went to perform religious duties in Indonesia in 1988. The sandstone pagoda has 7 floors in total. The first floor is a bas-relief yellow sandstone carving that tells the story of the last life of the Bodhisattva who practiced the virtue of charity. The second and third floors are bas-relief yellow sandstone carvings that tell the story of the life of the Lord Buddha. The fourth floor is a bas-relief yellow sandstone carving of the auspicious mantra. The fifth floor is the circular wall that supports the pagoda. It is a picture of the four pilgrimage sites: birth, enlightenment, first sermon, and nirvana. The sixth floor has eight smaller chedis and one main chedi. In particular, the seventh floor has a golden chedi apex weighing 101 baht.
