Just spent a few days in Rizhao with friends and we're exhausted...

Context: Since we only stayed in Rizhao for a few days, we basically visited all the popular attractions. Here's a summary of their characteristics to help you choose based on your preferences for a better experience! 🔵 Transportation: ①🛵 E-bike rental: Initially we rented e-bikes (¥50/day) which were super convenient, but traffic gets terrible during morning rush hour. ②🚘 Taxi: Later when we were short on time, we switched to taxis (starting fare ¥7, very affordable). Remember! Always use ride-hailing apps. 🕤 Attractions visited: 🔺 Taigong Island Oyster Park Free tidal flat area. ✔️ Tools are sold by the shore. Found lots of crabs under rocks - great fun, especially for kids. 🔺 Rizhao Seaside Forest Park So glad we rented 🚲 sightseeing bikes at the entrance! The park is huge and we got exhausted 😭 pedaling. Free admission with a Ferris wheel, elk park, and beautiful seashell-collecting beaches. 🔺 Sunshine Coast Went around 2pm - way too 🥵 sunny! Recommend going after 3pm when it's less intense. Many Instagrammable spots: coconut trees 📸, romantic LOVE wooden stakes, and exceptionally clean seawater. 🔺 Wanpingkou Scenic Area Has 5 gates - spent half a day exploring. Gates 3 and 1 are most worthwhile! 😊 Gate 1 has a sea post office selling postcards - overall great fun. 🔺 Lighthouse Square Close to our accommodation, so we chose here for sunrise 🌄 viewing. Had to leave at 4:30am - super romantic 🌇 with crowds gathering to watch sunrise together. 🔵 Food & Accommodation 1️⃣ Booked a sea-view room but realized we were out playing all day and returned to darkness at night - think carefully before booking! 2️⃣ Memorable meals in Rizhao: 📍 Chocolate Seafood (fresh seafood, sweet phoenix tail shrimp, delicious dough drop soup, amazing mantis shrimp) 📍 Kuanpozi (exceptional seafood pot stickers) 📍 Musanchuan Sichuan Cuisine (spicy dishes that go great with rice) 📍 Lanyu Restaurant (nice ambiance, delicious durian pizza) These were our experiences from a few days in Rizhao.
