Beautiful temples in Ratchaburi

#BeautifulTemple Wat Aranyikawat is an ancient temple that was abandoned for a while until Phra Maha Samanawong (Somathatto), the abbot of Wat Maha Samanaram in Khao Wang, Phetchaburi, traveled on a pilgrimage and restored Wat Aranyikawat, or as the locals call it, “Wat Aranyik.” Inside the temple is a large prang with a covered gallery, similar to Wat Mahathat in the Ratchaburi municipality. There is also a reclining Buddha. The area behind the covered gallery is a large red stone Buddha statue in the right-side reclining position, which is believed to have been built in the Ayutthaya period. This reclining Buddha statue was renovated by a craftsman from Phetchaburi by plastering the original plaster over it and then plastering another layer of diamond plaster over it.
