A steamship that rivals a floating museum.

When visiting Queenstown in the South Island of New Zealand, it is a must to take a ride on the famous steamship. Tickets should be booked in advance as there is no guarantee of availability on the day of travel, with a maximum capacity of 350 passengers. Location: There is a small pier on the lakeside in the center of Queenstown City. The building is a ticket office, and you can board the ship after leaving the ticket office. Ship name: TSS Earnslaw, a twin screw steamer, nicknamed "The Lady of the Lake". Ticket prices: There are various package boat tickets. Round-trip boat tickets cost just over 300 yuan. Boat tickets plus a visit to the ranch and lunch cost 600 yuan. Boat tickets plus morning or afternoon tea and a visit cost 500 yuan. Boat tickets plus a visit and dinner cost nearly 700 yuan. Choose according to your interests and time. History: A transport ship built in England in 1912, costing 20,000 pounds. Its parts were shipped to New Zealand for assembly. With the development of highways and the decline of shipping, it was converted into a tourist ship in 1969. Now it is the only steam-powered ship in the southern hemisphere. Duration of the trip: round trip takes one and a half hours, with a boat departing every two hours. We took the 10:30 am flight, but if we visit the ranch and have a meal, we will take a later flight back. Experience: Enjoy the scenery around Lake Wakatipu and Mount Walter, witness the steam engine working scene that changed human destiny, have a cup of coffee or beer while listening to piano and songs, and have a great time. Highlights: Photo 1 shows the lady of the lake leaving the dock, photo 2 shows the scene when the ship was used for both passengers and cargo, photo 3 shows the steam engine consuming more than ten tons of coal every day, photos 4, 5, and 6 show different angles of the ship docking at the pier, photo 7 shows the view of the bridge from the bow of the ship, photo 8 shows the view of the bow from the bridge, photo 9 shows the rest cabin on the main deck, photo 10 shows the passage on the main deck, photo 11 shows the pasture where the ship turns back, photo 12 shows the historical photos in the museum on the ship, photo 13 shows the stoker of the steam engine, photo 14 shows the sightseeing tourists on the front deck, photo 15 shows the sightseeing tourists on the ship's side, photo 16 shows the preserved bridge of the original transport ship as a cultural relic, photo 17 shows the captain of the ship from the bow of the ship, photo 18 shows the manufacturing plaque of the London shipyard at that time, photo 19 shows the bar and fast food counter on the main deck, and photo 20 shows the "lady" returning to the dock.

To hike up the Ben Lomond without taking the gondola starts from the trail beside the cemetery up to the gondola station and then walk follow the sign until you arrive at the peak of Ben Lomond. The view from the Gondola station view deck is awesome, you can enjoy the view of the Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu.
