#September2025 The Bingtangyu Great Wall, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, lies quietly amidst the vast mountains, like a sleeping dragon. Ascending the ancient stone steps, the weathered bricks glow warmly in the setting sun, as if telling of a millennium of vicissitudes and glory. Clouds and mist linger in the valley, and in the distance, peaks and mountains rise in lush greenery – a breathtaking sight at every step. Standing on the beacon tower, the view is vast, a condensation of the weight of time. The wind rustles past my ears, as if I could hear the horns of an ancient battlefield and the heartbeats of the soldiers defending the city. The Great Wall here lacks the commercial bustle and instead possesses a sense of aloofness and grandeur, like an eternal epic.
