There are very few people, making it perfect for solo relaxation or bringing your child for a quiet outing. 🌞 Recommended Visit Order: The route is a one-way path starting from Huayan Temple. It is recommended to first visit the main temple and then walk around the surrounding attractions. ⭐ Main Attractions: 1. Huayan Square: Features a statue of Master Faxian from Eastern Jin Dynasty, the first person in Chinese history to travel to India to collect Buddhist scriptures. He once landed in Laoshan to translate scriptures. 2. Huazang World Gate: Carvings of “Three Saints of Huayan” and ten major Bodhisattvas on the mountain gate. At the top is the symbol of the Three Lotus Flowers representing “One Flower, One World.” Guardians of the gate are the figures of Heng Ha Er Jiang (Two Deva Kings). 3. Lotus Flower Path: A stone walkway reflected with bamboo shadows. Along the way, you can see carvings of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva riding an elephant and experience the quiet, ethereal Buddhist atmosphere. 4. Pagoda Courtyard: The resting place of generations of eminent monks at Huayan Temple. Master Cizhou’s pagoda is surrounded by three ancient pine trees, forming the unique sight known as the “Pine-Embracing Pagoda.” 5. “Fate” Stone: In front of the pagoda courtyard stands a huge rock carved with the Chinese character “缘” (fate), known as the “Fate Stone.” Visitors come to this stone to pray for destiny and hope to meet their destined person. 6. Huayan Temple: One of the larger Buddhist temples in Laoshan, built in a four-courtyard layout. The main hall enshrines the Three Huayan Buddhas. 7. Naruo Cave: A natural rock cave with a circular sky opening at the top. It is known by Buddhist monks as the “Second Largest Buddhist Cave in the World.” 🚗Public Transportation 1. Metro: Take the Blue Valley Express Line (Metro Line 11) to Puli Station, transfer to Bus 620 or 925 to the Laoshan Tourist Service Center (Yangkou Entrance), then transfer to the sightseeing bus; or from Qingdao Station, take Bus 383 to Laoshan Tourist Service Center (Yangkou Entrance) and then transfer to the sightseeing bus. 2. Bus: Take Bus 383, 620, or 926 directly to the Laoshan Tourist Service Center (Yangkou Entrance), then transfer to the sightseeing bus.
