Take plenty of photos for a great atmosphere.  ⸻ 🚖🚇How to get there: • By MRT / Metro “Hall of the People Station,” which is the intersection of Qingdao Metro Lines 3 and 4, is located on Taiping Road and University Road (the intersection between Taiping Road and University Road). You can get off here and easily walk to University Road.  • By Bus There are several lines that stop near University Road, such as the 202 (Railway), 228 (Railway), 231 (Railway), 304 (Railway), and 312 (Railway Area), etc. If you get off at the "University Road Station," it's the closest stop. It's just a few minutes' walk away. • Walking If you're near the Shimizu-ku area, you can walk directly to University Road. Along the way, you'll pass by old buildings, cafes, and small alleys known for their art and tranquility. Red Wall ("Instagram Wall") At the intersection of University Road and Yushan Road is the Red Wall, approximately 468 meters long. It's the wall of the Qingdao Art Museum (Qingdao Museum of Fine Arts) and the former site of the Hong Wanzi (Hong Wanzi Temple). This type of wall is popular for taking photos with the theme of "red wall + sun / shadow / old building composition". It's perfect for morning or evening when the light is good. 2. Guangxi Building This old building (Bank of China dormitory / staff residence) features a luxurious European-Chinese architectural style, using red bricks and stone slabs. + Old-style door and window designs, perfect for those who love architecture and detailed photography. 3. Lao She's Old Residence Stop by the residence of Lao She, a famous Chinese writer. It offers a peaceful, retro atmosphere, and offers a wealth of information about his life in Qingdao. 4. Coffee Shop / Art Alley Along the way to Qingdao Road, you'll find an artsy coffee shop, bookstore, and small art gallery hidden in a side alley. Perfect for exploring and admiring the work of local artists. Take photos in quiet corners. 5. City View + Sea View If you continue down an alley or higher road, such as to Xiao Yu Shan Park or a viewpoint on a hilltop or small hill, you'll be able to see the European-style roofs, red roofs, lake, and Qingdao Bay. These are truly striking views. ⸻ 🚩 Precautions / Tips • Peak photography times, such as evenings and holidays, are especially crowded at "Wang Hong Temple." For unobstructed views, go early in the morning or just after sunset when the light is beautiful. • Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, as the roads in some alleys are stone, blocky, and have slight slopes. • Weather and Sun: If you're visiting in summer, the sun can be strong, so you might want to bring a hat, handkerchief, or sunscreen. If you're visiting in autumn and spring, the weather can be cooler, with strong sea breezes on some days. • Bring water and snacks.
