Fenglinjian, as the name suggests, means maple forest in the mountain stream. Maple trees are classified into three types: triangular maple, pentagonal maple, heptagonal maple, and enneagonal maple. The maple trees in Fenglinjian are mostly Acer truncatum. The temperature in the mountain stream is slightly higher than other places, and the red maples in Fenglinjian also turn red later than in other places, such as Laoshan and other high mountains. Every year in early winter, the frost dyes the maple leaves red. The maple trees throughout the mountain stream are mesmerizing under the flickering sunlight, which is very pleasing to the eyes and spectacular. The mountain stream road is not long. You can walk straight along the U-shaped wooden plank road and then return. It is enough to walk slowly and appreciate it for about 30 minutes.
