I had heard that Qingdao St. Regis is the best St. Regis in mainland China, so I came to experience it. Qingdao St. Regis is designed by LTW Designworks, which also designed Grand Hyatt Xi'an, Conrad Beijing, etc. The hotel lobby is on the 58th floor. It is not large, but the ceiling is high. The lobby has the iconic St. Regis spiral staircase, but it is not as impressive as the one in Changsha. There is also an atrium, but it is not as good as the one in Zhuhai St. Regis. In terms of design details, the chandeliers, screens, sculptures, etc. are all ocean-themed, which is very suitable for Qingdao, a coastal city. It is really nice to take a bath in the bathtub illuminated by the golden sunset. The room is not large, about 47 sqm, 423 sqf. It has a huge walk-in closet. Correspondingly, the living space is small. The room is well decorated. The 3D sculpture on the headboard is in the shape of a shell, which is very thematic. Due to the design of the building, there is actually a lot of space between the sofa and the floor-to-ceiling window. The bathroom is not large, with double sinks. The round bathtub is very comfortable and can accommodate two people at the same time. Service: 7.65/10 First, the advantages. The concierge on the first floor is very responsible and will open the car door and take the luggage. The CI staff also did their job well. However, there is no butler in the elevator hall, and some staff just walked away expressionlessly. I added the butler department's WeChat account when I checked in, and no butler came to give me a room tour. If it is the peak season, I can understand, but now it is the off-season in December and a weekday, I don't think there will be a shortage of staff at this time. Although there are some problems, the service is generally good. Maybe Zhuhai and Changsha raised my expectations too high. Breakfast: 7.55/10 No a la carte menu. The special Qingdao dumplings are very good. There are many options, but none of them are particularly appealing to me. I recommend sitting on the west side by the window, the view is very beautiful. Location: 8.3/10 The hotel is located in the new district of Qingdao, not far from attractions such as Badaguan and the Third Bathing Beach, but about 600 meters from the subway station. Overall, it is convenient. The final score is 7.74 It is a good score. Although the service details are not satisfactory, the overall experience is very pleasant. As for whether it is the best St. Regis in mainland China, I am skeptical. After all, the service is not as good as Zhuhai, and the hardware is not as good as Changsha and Zhuhai, but the location and breakfast are the best among the three.
