Qilian Secret Realm, the autumn scenery of Ergagonglu Wild Ox Valley is stunning!

Hidden deep in the mountains of Qilian County, Qinghai, is a breathtaking scenic self-driving road—Ergagonglu Road. These photos were taken on October 3rd, with the autumn colors at their peak, making the whole journey amazing! 🛣️ Ergagonglu Road starts from Gahai Fork by Qinghai Lake in the east and ends at Erzihala Mountain Pass in the west, with the most spectacular section between Qilian and Sunan. The entire stretch from Qilian County to Yaniugou Township is paved, making it easy for sedans to pass. 💡 If you don’t want to drive the whole way but still want to see Qilian’s autumn colors, we highly recommend starting from Qilian County and making a round trip to Yaniugou Township. Along the way, you’ll encounter snow-capped mountains, grasslands, canyons, Danxia landforms, and the golden autumn forests that are only available this season—each frame looks like a page from National Geographic. 🚗 It takes about 1.5 hours one way from Qilian County, so you can easily make a round trip in half a day. This is definitely a hidden gem for short self-driving trips!
