Qilian Mountain Grassland - Qinghai-Gansu Loop Trip Day 9

Today is the last day of the Qinghai-Gansu Loop trip. The rapeseed flowers have already withered by the end of July, so the main destination is the Qilian Mountain Grassland. We set off at 8 AM, crossing the Qilian Mountains on the way. The highway winds and twists, and the altitude reaches 3600 meters again. It was already past 11 AM when we arrived at the grassland. The grassland is divided by herders into family-style areas, each operating horseback riding, archery, swings, costume changes, dining, and other activities, which are quite similar. Some even charge an entrance fee. Since we arrived early, there weren't many tourists on the grassland. The blue sky, white clouds, and lush green grass were refreshing. Xiao Li experienced horseback riding and held a lamb, having a great time. After a simple lunch, we prepared to return to the starting point of the trip - Xining. On the way, we passed Menyuan, which still had continuous mountains and blue skies. Xiao Li is very talented at photography and took satisfactory photos of me and Da Jiang. We arrived at the hotel at 4:30 PM and said goodbye to Master Liu, who looks a lot like Teacher Nie Yuan. After dinner, we took a walk along the Nanchuan River. The distant mountains and the clouds covering them outlined a chiaroscuro border for the evening in Xining. Since it was still early, we took a taxi to Mojia Street. The night market was bustling with people and had a strong atmosphere of daily life. We bought a cup of milk wine, which was fragrant and sweet. Xiao Li was very tired, so we took a taxi back to the hotel to rest. Xining is nurtured by the surrounding mountains. Once far away across mountains and rivers, it is now a modern international city.
