But one big tip: make sure to buy a round-trip ticket! What you need to know before the ride: 1️⃣ Ticket is for a one-way trip (about 40 minutes) with return tickets available—be sure to book the full round trip! Along the way, there are several stops and performances like steam shows. You'll be prompted when it’s time to get off for photos. 2️⃣ Visit during canola flower season for the best and most scenic photos 🌼 3️⃣ Call ahead! Ask staff where to buy tickets for the specific time slot you want. We arrived at 12pm, but were told the 1pm tickets were no longer available at the main ticket office. We had to go to the final stop at Bajiao Valley to buy short-distance tickets and paid 88 yuan for a ride there (it's very far and mountainous). 4️⃣ If you’re nearby, driving is highly recommended—the area is very remote and mountainous, and driving makes it much more convenient. 5️⃣ Nearby attractions worth checking out: Huangcun Coal Mine: A real former mine now open for touring—feels like exploring the center of the Earth! 🌌 Tree Fern Canyon: Great for little dinosaur fans and kids who enjoy a bit of hiking 🦕🌿 Dongfanghong Square: Near the train terminal, with old buildings and a Mao Zedong-era stage—nice for a walk if you have extra time 🏛️ 📍 Location: Qianwei County #travel #naturalwonders
