Exhibition Highlights ✨ The first part of *The Long River of Weifeng* exhibition showcases Puyang's history from ancient times to the pre-Qin period. It features a replica of the dragon-and-tiger shell mosaic unearthed from the Xishui Slope site, hailed as the "First Dragon of China." Legend has it that this was one of the royal tombs of the Zhuanxu tribe. The hall also displays artifacts related to the Wei State, reviving the image of a prosperous land known for its folk songs and idyllic scenery. 💫 The second part of *The Long River of Weifeng* exhibition traces Puyang's history from the Qin-Han period to the Qing Dynasty, serving as the museum's centerpiece: ✨ A Western Han Dynasty handled pot excavated from the Yanggancheng site still contains ancient wine over a thousand years old. (Fig. 6) 💫 The "Daquan Wushi Coin Mold" tells the story of the short-lived currency reform during the Xin Dynasty. (Fig. 7) ✨ The "Green-Glazed Pottery Kitchen Figurine" is a masterpiece from the Eastern Han Dynasty, simple yet lively. (Figs. 4, 5) 💫 The Northern Qi Dynasty tomb of Li Heng is one of the museum's most significant archaeological discoveries. Li Heng was a general and imperial guard of the Northern Qi, and the artifacts unearthed here reflect a strong martial aesthetic, particularly the striking pottery soldier figurines (Figs. 2, 9). The ceramics from this tomb are also of exceptional quality, exemplified by the "Celadon-Glazed Four-Handled Jar with Lotus Design." ✨ This hall also displays a rubbing of the national sixth-class stele, the "Tangwu Gong Stele." This Yuan Dynasty stele narrates the decline of the Dangxiang people, who once founded the Western Xia. Many descendants of the Dangxiang, now surnamed Yang, live near the stele's location. (Fig. 12) 💫 The third floor hosts the Puyang Folk Culture Exhibition, which stands out as relatively modern compared to the museum's overall traditional style. It showcases folk art, costumes, production tools, and other cultural relics from the Puyang region. 7. Hotel Recommendation For your visit to the "Hometown of the Dragon," we highly recommend Longdu International Hotel, located just 4 km from the museum with straightforward access. The hotel offers free parking, fast-charging stations for electric vehicles, and even e-sports rooms—perfect for unwinding with a gaming session after a day of exploring history!
