Lavaux Vineyard Hiking

We took a train from Château de Chillon to Chexbres-Village, 30 minutes. Lavaux means 'steep place', and people have been carving terraces on the cliffs of Lavaux, growing grapes with fragrance here. Today, the core area of the Lavaux World Heritage site includes 10 villages and towns, with a grape planting area of 5.74 square kilometers. Hiking through the Lavaux vineyard terraces, we chose to take the train to Chexbres-Village station, used Google Maps to navigate to Le Beck, walked along the main road, and had a glass of white wine at the famous Le Beck bar. The 'king of grapes' in Lavaux is Chasselas, which has a rich floral and fruity aroma. 80% of the wines produced in Lavaux are white, and among these, 90% are made from Chasselas. The endpoint of the Lavaux vineyard terrace hike is Rivaz, a mini-town. From here, you can take a train back to Vevey, see the Charlie Chaplin statue and the giant fork, and then take a train back to Geneva.
