Pranburi Forest Park

Pranburi Forest Park, a forest under royal patronage, has transformed from a deteriorated forest into a lush mangrove forest. This transformation is a result of the Pranburi River Basin Forest Development Project initiated by royal decree. Today, Pranburi Forest Park is a conserved and restored area where additional trees have been planted, gradually turning it into a large, thriving mangrove forest with a diverse ecosystem. Besides being home to various species of animals and plants, it serves as an important food source for local residents, a significant green space, and a tourist and educational site in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. Pranburi Forest Park is located in Pak Nam Pran Subdistrict, Pranburi District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, covering an area of approximately 700 rai. The highlight of the park is the 'Mangrove Nature Trail,' which includes the 'Golden Meadow,' an area of tall mangrove forest with dense golden trees covering a wide expanse. Additionally, the nature trail features the 'Old Canal,' a large estuary that flows out to the sea at the mouth of the Pran River.
