Porto Cathedral

#celebratewithtrip Porto Cathedral is located in Terreiro da Se, 4050-573 Porto, and is opened daily from 0900-1730. A 6 minute 350 meters walk from Sao Bento metro station. Porto Cathedral is one of the city's oldest Romanesque monuments, perching on a hilltop standing watch over the city. It was originally built between the 12th and 13th centuries. It's flanked by twin towers, a rather plain stone facade, but inside, you will find a beautiful stained glass rose window, a collection of centuries old sculptures and a silver altarpiece. Facing the cathedral, a large Baroque pillory which symbolizes justice, stands in the center of the square.
