Our check-in experience, however, left much to be desired. Upon our arrival at 1 pm, we promptly dropped off our luggage before heading out for lunch. Yet, when we returned at 3 pm to retrieve our room keys and belongings, we found ourselves queuing at the concierge for a frustrating 35 minutes. A more efficient check-in system could significantly enhance the guest experience. Despite this initial setback, the hotel did offer a redeemable welcome drink—a refreshing guava ice blend—at their rooftop bar. Complimentary Bandung drink and water were also available in the lobby, though finding seating amidst the hotel's popularity proved challenging. Entering our room, we were greeted by a spacious and luminous interior. The room boasted a cozy window lounge area, plush bedding, essential amenities including toiletries and an iron board, as well as a convenient refillable water jug (located in the corridor). While the majority of the room was pristine, one of the pillows emitted a sour odor, and we noticed slight staining on the bathroom floor. The hotel's expansive gym offered an array of equipment, while the pool, though slightly compact, afforded picturesque views of Johor. However, on our Sunday visit, we detected a faint odor emanating from the pool, possibly indicating infrequent cleaning. Breakfast surpassed our expectations, showcasing an impressive array of pastries and Malaysian delicacies, with the standout being their teh tarik. Despite the breakfast's excellence, securing a table proved challenging, especially around peak hours. This hotel excels in convenience and culinary offerings, our experience was marred by lengthy queues and cleanliness issues. Nonetheless, for those seeking proximity to shopping and entertainment options, this hotel remains a compelling choice. #familytrips2024
