Pingyao Adventure

About 10-15 minutes bus ride from the the high speed railway station of Pingyao to the area of the Ancient Town. At the entrance, you will be greeted by lots of food vendors selling local dishes. As you walk through the streets, you’ll find restaurants, shops that sells souvenirs, candy and snack shops, coffee and tea shops etc. There are lots of museums that showcasing the history of this walled city. There are hotels where guests can stay and spend the night. There’s a theater where you can go and watch the (scheduled) show. I also recommend to try the “donkey meat” which Pingyao is also known for. After walking the whole day, don’t miss the massage places (foot spas) where you can get foot massages to relax those achey muscles and tired feet.
