The longing for a beautiful life is all in this village

To get to know Xiadi Village, one must first learn about Senke Yishe, which I came across by chance in an article about the restoration of ancient villages, and then gradually learned the story of Xiadi Village. Another reason is that there is a pioneer bookstore in Xiadi Village, which was my enlightenment to independent bookstores. During the May Day holiday, we drove to Xiadi Village, a journey of over 7 hours, and had booked a room at Senke in advance. We arrived in the afternoon, just in time for a heavy rain, and after settling our things in the room, we sat in the Senke Cafe and listened to the rain. Sitting in the cafe, which was transformed from a restored old house, and looking out at this century-old village from the attic, one can immediately relax. Living at a fast pace in the concrete jungle of the city, here one can stroll leisurely. If you have the time, staying here for a few days is particularly enjoyable. In the morning, you can wander around the village, pick a few books at the pioneer bookstore and sit for a day, and by around 8 p.m., you can go to sleep. Dining: Senke Cafe offers simple meals, and there are small restaurants in the village with affordable prices and generous portions. 🚗: The best way to visit is by self-driving, as there are parking lots both inside and outside the village. It is recommended to park in the external parking lot, as the internal parking lot is a one-way street and inconvenient for entry and exit. Accommodation: Senke Yishe has its own homestay, and there is also a Fish Sheep Wood Homestay in the village, which is also very nice.
