Unlike the bustling Nha Trang or the crowded Đà Nẵng, Phú Yên welcomes me with its cool sea breeze, quiet coastal roads, and the gentle smiles of the locals. Here, I can wake up early in the morning, head to Nhơn Hải Beach, and watch the sun slowly rise from the sea, casting its soft golden light over the water. No honking cars, no rush—just me, the sea, and a sense of tranquility seeping into my heart. I love wandering around Gành Đá Đĩa, silently admiring the black stone formations stacked as if meticulously sculpted by someone. The sea here doesn’t roar; it gently caresses, like a mother’s lullaby from childhood. The deeper I explore this land, the more I find Phú Yên beautiful in its simplicity and authenticity. A warm bowl of fish cake noodle soup is enough to fill my stomach and make life feel wonderfully charming. Once, I stopped at a small roadside café and ordered an iced coffee. The owner shared stories from the past, her voice slow and heartfelt. It dawned on me that sometimes traveling isn’t about checking off as many destinations as possible, but about rediscovering a slower pace of life—enough to take a deep breath and listen to yourself. Phú Yên isn’t overly prominent, but that’s precisely why it retains its unique charm. Like an old garden corner that no one notices, yet it becomes a peaceful refuge for a weary soul.
