Warning Post｜No Need to Stay at JW Marriott Phu Quoc Island

1️⃣ Arrived at the hotel around 9:00 PM to check in, was startled by two large dogs at the entrance, and the lobby was very dimly lit. 2️⃣ After entering the room, it felt like no one had stayed there for a long time. The room layout was oppressive: two mirrors facing the bed, dim lighting, the TV hung above the head of the bed, old furniture, and the overall atmosphere was uncomfortable. When changing the sheets, two men entered the room, making it impossible to rest peacefully all night. We even considered changing hotels, but since we were unfamiliar with the area and it was late at night, we reluctantly stayed one night and sought assistance from the platform. 3️⃣ The hotel, converted from a school, is really creepy at night! 4️⃣ The bedding caused skin itching, and at 1 AM we had to ask the hotel to change the sheets and bedding. We were two women staying, yet the hotel sent two men (one not in uniform) to enter the room, which worsened the feeling of insecurity. The hotel environment was already dark and eerie, making this extremely unsettling. When checking out the next day, the hotel manager explained that because there were no female staff at night, they arranged for men to change the sheets, but there were female staff present during our check-in and room inspection, so female staff could have accompanied this task. The hotel offered compensation only in the form of airport transfer service, but the booking already included airport transfers, which was clearly dismissive. 5️⃣ The air conditioning noise was extremely loud and seriously affected sleep. 6️⃣ Poor water quality, drinking water was not sealed in disposable packaging, toothbrush supplies were of low quality, and hotel staff did not assist with luggage when leaving.
