Phu Quoc Island Travel Guide for a 4-Day Long Weekend

Phu Quoc Island Trip, Vietnam 🇻🇳 For 3 nights and 4 days We departed from Suvarnabhumi Airport with Thai Vietjet at 10:05 AM and arrived at Phu Quoc International Airport at 11:25 AM. After waiting for our luggage and passing through immigration in less than 30 minutes, we met with Mr. Hoàng Tuấn Anh who was waiting for us outside the airport. After leaving the airport, we stopped for lunch (while eating, Mr. Boy took our luggage to the hotel). On the first day, we stayed at HANZ LAGOON SUNSET ESCAPE. After lunch and checking in at the hotel, we went out for a walk to find Vietnamese coffee and snacks at various cafes. We took photos at various check-in points such as the Flower Staircase, Colosseum Cafe, and other buildings in the city, and enjoyed the cable car ride. In the evening, around 7:30 PM, we bought tickets to see the Symphony of the Sea, a spectacular fireworks and light show on the sea. We chose to watch from the SUN BAVARIA GASTRO PUB, which is right in front of our hotel (entrance fee is 250,000 VND per person, approximately 330 THB). The pub offers a 5-course meal for an additional 700,000 VND (approximately 940 THB), which includes beer and 4 dishes. After the Symphony of the Sea show, the pub has live music and various other shows. After the show, we could either stay at the pub to enjoy more shows or go for a walk around the city. On the second day, we woke up early, checked out, and left our luggage at the hotel (Mr. Boy would pick up our luggage and load it onto the car). We took a golf cart to the cable car station to cross over to Sun World, a large amusement park with a wooden roller coaster and a water park 🎢. The cable car ride took about 15 minutes, covering a distance of 8 kilometers. The water park has many rides, perfect for adventure lovers. We spent time at the water park until 2 PM, then took the cable car back and moved to the northern part of the island. In the evening, we stopped for seafood at Động Tôm Hùm - Lobster Cave seafood, where the food is fresh and affordable, and the service is excellent. They prepare everything for you, so you just have to eat ❤️. After dinner, we continued our journey to the north and checked in at LEEVI HOMESTAY, located in a replica of Venice. The area has massage parlors, Korean restaurants, seafood restaurants, and a Family Mart, so you won't go hungry. After walking around and taking photos, we went to the city center at 9 PM to find a spot to watch the free light and sound show at 9:30 PM. After the show, we could continue exploring the city before heading back to our accommodation. On the third day, we woke up early to take photos with the large bamboo arch and the Vietnamese Cultural Center (at night, there is a cultural show similar to Siam Niramit in Thailand, but we didn't watch it this time). After taking photos, we headed to VIN WONDERS, an amusement park similar to Disneyland, with a large roller coaster and many other rides. We also rode the giant Ferris wheel to enjoy the city view at sunset. At 7 PM, there was another spectacular light and sound show at the castle. After the show, we continued exploring the city and taking more photos. On the fourth day, our guide picked us up from the accommodation to find local food and visit a pearl shop, as pearls are a famous product of Phu Quoc. We could buy some as souvenirs before heading to the airport for our 1:50 PM flight back to Thailand with AirAsia. Note: Phu Quoc Island has the highest number of Korean tourists, followed by Taiwanese, Uzbek, and Russian tourists 🤣
