The chedi features an octagonal, twelve-sided, recessed chedi, covered in Jangko gold, in the Chiang Saen style. Inside, it contains relics of the Lord Buddha, a hair relic, and the left elbow of the Buddha. Some say the name "Cho Hae" comes from the fine silk cloth used by villagers to make offerings, or from the silk cloth offered by Khun Lua Ai Kom to the Buddha.
