Chom Sawan Temple | Phrae

Wat Chom Sawan or Wat Chong Nuea is an ancient temple in Phrae Province. It was built by Burmese and Shan people in a dense forest. Later, Pho Thao Kanti and Nai Hoi Kham, Shan traders, came across it and were impressed by it, so they renovated it. They received support from Shan people in Phrae Province and moved to a village called Mu Ban Mai during the reign of King Bimbisara in 1872. Nai Chong was the one who came to complete the construction and built a Burmese-style pagoda. #NewYearNewTrip #WatChomSawan #Phrae
