Phra That Cho Hae Temple

Wat Phra That Cho Hae, Phrae Province 🙏It is an ancient sacred temple of Phrae Province and is the temple of the chedi for those born in the Year of the Tiger. If you visit Phrae Province but do not pay homage to Phra That Cho Hae, it is like you have not visited Phrae Province. 🌿It is a temple located on a low hill. Phra That Cho Hae is an octagonal Lanna-style pagoda covered with gold leaf or Jangko gold. The pagoda is 33 meters high and has iron fences around the pagoda in 4 directions. There are 4 entrances and exits. Each door has a beautiful Lanna castle-style arch. 🪷Some say that the name Phra That Cho Hae comes from the name of the fine silk cloth woven from Sipsongpanna that the villagers brought to worship the pagoda. Some say that it comes from the silk cloth that Khun Lua Ai Kom brought to offer.
