Chan Royal Palace

#thailandtrip Chan Royal Palace is an ancient palace located on the west side of the Nan River on the north side of Phitsanulok. It is the birthplace of King Naresuan the Great and was his residence when he served as viceroy. At that time, Phitsanulok was an important frontier city of Ayutthaya. The Fine Arts Department has registered ancient monuments and announced ancient land boundaries in 1994. There are many colorful chicken statues in different sizes along the walk way to the shrine which is the representative pet toy of King Naraesuan. This is the must place for visiting in Phitsanulok.
