Phuket 1-Night, 2-Day Travel Diary: Phi Phi Island Tour & A Short but Fulfilling Free Schedule in Phuket A sudden short vacation! Without hesitation, I chose Phuket as my destination. Though it was just a 1-night, 2-day trip, the Phi Phi Island tour made it truly worthwhile. Day 1: Phi Phi Island Tour – A Day Spent on the Blue Sea Early in the morning, I was picked up from the hotel and taken to the pier! After a quick snack and briefing, we boarded a speedboat to officially start the Phi Phi Island tour. Tour Highlights: Maya Bay Famous as the filming location of the movie 'The Beach'! Though the landing was brief, the emerald sea and white sandy beach were stunning. It’s impossible not to take photos. Lo Sama Bay & Pileh Lagoon Admiring the sea views from the boat! The emerald waters and towering cliffs were breathtaking. Swimming was prohibited, but just taking in the scenery was satisfying enough. Snorkeling (Mid-Sea Spot) One of the highlights of the day! Snorkeling in the clear waters, colorful fish came right up close. Even if you can’t swim, wearing a life jacket makes it easy. Monkey Beach There were actual monkeys near the rocks and beach! Observing them cautiously from the boat was fascinating. They’re cute but wild, so getting too close is risky. Lunch at Phi Phi Don Island Buffet-style local food that was quite enjoyable. The restaurant was right by the beach, offering great views! The fruits were especially delicious. By afternoon, we returned to Phuket, checked into the hotel, and headed to Patong Street for dinner. Pad Thai and a refreshing beer were the perfect end to a day spent at sea. Exhausted, I quickly fell asleep. ✨Day 2: Free Time in Phuket & Preparing to Return The second day started leisurely with a hotel breakfast, followed by a relaxing swim before checkout. With some time left, I got a massage near Patong Beach, which felt incredibly rejuvenating. After some quick shopping at a nearby mall, I headed to the airport for my flight back home. ✨Overall Impression Though short, the Phi Phi Island tour alone allowed me to experience the true charm of Phuket! Snorkeling, Maya Bay, and Monkey Beach made for a fulfilling day. ✨Travel Tips Snorkeling gear is provided, but bringing your own mask or goggles is even better. Monkey Beach is often viewed from the boat, so keep expectations moderate. The sun is extremely strong, so sunscreen is a must! Don’t forget motion sickness medicine too! Staying near Patong Beach is convenient for tours and getting around.
