Phra That Phu Phek

Phra That Phu Phek, Sakon Nakhon Province 🌿Or also known as Prasat Phu Phek, is an ancient Khmer monument located on the top of Phu Phan Mountain. It is considered an important historical tourist attraction in the Northeast. You have to walk up about 491 steps to get to the top of the mountain. 🌿Phra That Phu Phek is built of sandstone on a laterite base. It has a square plan with recessed corners and is about 7.67 meters high. The castle is not yet finished. There is no roof and castle spire. The lintel is carved with angels and curled stems. It is in the Bapuan style of art.
