#AustraliaMust-visit check-in spots St George’s Anglican Cathedral is the main cathedral of the Anglican Province of Western Australia and the Diocese of Perth. Built by convicts, the cathedral is one of only a few cathedrals built entirely of handmade bricks. It was consecrated in 1888 and has stood as an iconic architectural gem in the heart of Cathedral Square for over 120 years. Designed in the Gothic Revival tradition, the cathedral was built using unique Western Australian materials, including Jarrah roof trusses and arches, limestone from Fremantle, and bricks produced by three different brickyards in Swan River.
