Kek Lok Si Temple

Kek Lok Si Temple, located on Air Itam Hill in Penang, is one of Malaysia's largest Buddhist temples and also one of the largest in Southeast Asia. Built in the late 19th century, this temple combines architectural styles from China, Thailand, and Myanmar, making it a religious and cultural symbol of Penang. The most famous attraction within the temple is the statue of the Goddess of Mercy (Kuan Yin), which stands 30 meters tall atop the temple hill, offering a breathtaking view of Penang. In addition to this, the temple complex features multi-tiered pagodas, intricate carvings, and vibrant murals, making it an impressive destination for the Dragon Boat Festival holiday.
