The Paris City Hall is located on the Seine River north of Notre Dame in the center of Paris. It was rebuilt after the original building was burned down in May 1871, and was completed in 1882 by Ballu and Depert. This building has been an important venue for political activities in France for several times. It was the center of major historical events during the Middle Ages, the Bourgeois Revolution and the Paris Commune of 1871. It is a famous Renaissance-style building in France. Located on the north bank of the Seine in downtown Paris. Designed by the famous Italian architect Bocador (formerly known as Dominique de Cortoni), construction started in 1533, named Bocador, and completed in 1628. Before 1803, the Paris City Hall Square was called "Plaza de la Beach"; in 1871, it was burned to the ground during the Paris Commune uprising; it was not until 1882 that the new Paris City Hall was renovated and completed. The restored appearance basically maintains the Renaissance style, while the interior decoration has the artistic characteristics of the 19th century. The City Hall building has many terrace-like structures with flat pyramidal roofs. There are 136 statues on the walls of the building, all of which are famous French figures from all over the world. #外游
