Venetian Castle of Parga 🏛️

#2024wish Delightful day at the Venetian Castle of Parga! 🏰 A small price was paid for the captivating journey through history and panoramic views – 2 EUR entrance fee. 💸 Sitting high above the Ionian Sea, on a hillside that could only be described as stunning. 🌊🏞️ Meandering along the well-preserved walls and fortifications, I felt like a time traveler amidst Venetian architecture. This design beautifully explained the strategic nature of the castle and its role in regional history through informational signs. 🗺️🏹 On top, the panoramic views of Valtos Beach and surrounding islands were simply breathtaking. It was authentic with the medieval structures and cannons. 🔭⚔️ Nearby to this area is the popular Parga town with its picturesque streets, sea-side cafes and busy atmosphere. The day was rounded up perfectly with a boat trip to the nearby islets and beaches. 🚤🍹 The visit to the Venetian Castle concluded one of my best Greek evenings with an enjoyable Greek meal in a seaside taverna. 🍽️🌅 #pargacastlemagic #ionianviews #historicaljourney #seasideadventure
