When you come to Jinhua, Zhejiang, you must visit Juxi Village, an ancient village with the lingering charm of the Song Dynasty.

This is Juxi Village, an ancient village located in the south of Pan'an County, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. The village was built in the early years of the Southern Song Dynasty. It has a strong cultural heritage and a simple rural atmosphere. The village is located in a narrow mountain basin on the southern foot of Dapan Mountain. Streams converge and flow down among the overlapping mountains. The village is built along the stream and is named after the stream. The ancient buildings of Ming and Qing Dynasties built with stones and blue bricks are staggered, thick and mottled. The cobblestone alleys are winding, quiet and peaceful, and every brick and tile exudes an ancient atmosphere. This is the largest village inhabited by the descendants of Confucius in Jiangnan, and is known as the "Third Holy Land of Confucius". The Kong Family Temple in the village was first built in the second year of Baoyou in the Southern Song Dynasty. It faces south and north, and is opposite to Jinzhong Mountain in the distance. The existing buildings were rebuilt during the Qing Dynasty. Zhu Creek rushes down from the overlapping peaks, cutting through the bamboos and passing through the forest, pouring out jade and jumping like pearls, with a bridge across the first moon and the bank connected to the new building. The more than 800-year-old southern yew tree stands tall and majestic, reaching high into the clouds. Strolling in the village halfway up the mountain, you will see ancient houses, ancient temples, ancient wells, ancient alleys, ancient tombs and ancient trees. Each object has a different view and each step has a different story, showing the lingering charm of the Song Dynasty. It seems as if time has gone back.
