Touring at the local market

Pak Beng Market, as one might guess, does not have much in the way of retail. However, if you want to get some food before taking the boat to either Luang Prabang or Huay Xai, you should check out the local market stalls along the main road. Crispy local baguettes loaded with a variety of fillings such as omelets or cheese are available here, and will keep you going on the long boat ride.
