2024 Travel Review: The Dreamy Melody of Otaru

During my trip in 2024, I had the honor of visiting Otaru, Japan. This city full of history and culture made me linger. Among them, Otaru Olgordo Main Building was a highlight of my trip. Stepping into Otaru Olgordo is like entering a dreamlike world of music. Not only are there a variety of music boxes on display here, but there are also many handmade works of art that are dazzling to the eyes. Each music box has a unique melody. When they play, it seems to take me back to my childhood and memories come flooding back. The workshops in the museum are even more surprising. I personally experienced the process of making music boxes and felt the craftsmen's superb skills and love for art. Through this interactive experience, I gained a deep understanding of the connection between music and emotion. During my stay in Otaru, in addition to the music box, the city’s canal scenery, ancient buildings and delicious seafood also made me linger. Every day of exploration was full of surprises, making me fall in love with this place even more. Otaru is not only a tourist destination, but also a spiritual harbor.
