Hokkaido: gorgeous in summer too

People are always hyping Hokkaido up during winter but it’s much easier to explore certain quaint towns such as Otaru on foot, when it isn’t snowing. Weather was lovely as it was sunny but not too hot (low 20+ deg C), enjoyed the cool summer feeling. Yamanaka dairy farm is a must try. Opted for their soft serve which was amazingly creamy! If you don’t have much time, recommend a day trip to Otaru — just in the center of the town itself you can do so many things, from walking the canal to shopping the street to eating at Sankaku market (gets crowded though).
