A Day Trip to Oslo (with Route Guide)

Oslo is not big, and you can basically visit all the popular spots in one or two days. Here's our 24-hour CityWalk route 🗺️ - Morning: Bygdøy Peninsula 🔹Fram Museum Opens at 10:00 a.m., so it can be your first stop. The museum houses a wooden polar exploration ship—the Fram. You can even enter the cabin, making it very suitable for children. - 🔹Norwegian Museum of Cultural History An open-air museum showcasing traditional buildings and folk culture from different periods, including the iconic Gol Stave Church. - 🚌: You can take bus No. 30 from the city center to the Bygdøy Peninsula. You can also take a boat from Aker Brygge when it's not winter. - Afternoon: Royal Palace & Art Museum & Aker Brygge & Fortress 🔹The Royal Palace Mainly to watch the changing of the Royal Guard ceremony at 1:30 p.m. - 🔹The National Museum See world-famous paintings—Munch's "The Scream," as well as classic Norwegian and European works of art. You can skip this if you are short on time. - 🔹Aker Brygge An area with many cafés and restaurants. You can dine here and take a break. - 🔹Akershus Fortress The public area outside the castle is suitable for overlooking the Oslofjord. If you arrive in the evening, you can also wait for the sunset here. The castle courtyard is free to enter, but you need a ticket to enter the interior. - Evening: MUNCH 🔹MUNCH Museum It doesn't close until 9:00 p.m., so you can arrange it for the end of the day. It mainly displays Munch's "The Scream." The large glass windows on the top floor are suitable for watching the sunset. -
