Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Alicante (Region) The museum is located in the Episcopal Palace, a 16th century building. The most important work in the museum’s collection is located inside the church: The Temptation of Saint Thomas Aquinas by Diego Velázquez. It also includes paintings from the Sánchez Coello and Juan de Juanes schools. Among his sculptures, medieval works such as the 13th-century "Enthronement of the Virgin" are particularly noteworthy. The museum also houses an important collection of goldsmith's works, including pieces of Italian origin, such as Cardinal de Puig's chalice.
