Shirakawa-go, a lovely village in the middle of a valley

Shirakawa-go Village, a World Heritage Village located in the middle of a valley in Gifu Prefecture, Japan. The houses here are unique because they are made from natural materials and have a roof in the shape of hands clasped together, or what is called Gassho-zukuri. The roof is angled more than 45 degrees so that when the snow melts, it can easily flow down. The village is located in the middle of a valley surrounded by nature and the Sogawa River, making the air cool and comfortable. Most tourists usually come during the snowfall because it is especially beautiful. As for us, we came during the snow melting season because the weather is cool and not too cold. The village is still beautiful and full of tourists. The highlight that tourists must come to take a photo and check in is the three houses that are lined up beautifully.
