Grassland Family Trip: Hulunbuir Travel Guide

Day 1: Arrive in Hailar 🏨 Hilton Garden Inn The hotel is not bad, and the breakfast is the best we've had in the past few days. There is a supermarket downstairs, remember to buy some snacks. Day 2: Depart for Ergun 🏨 Dabaihua Hotel The scenery on the road today is the best. There are horses, sheep, and cattle everywhere, as well as marmots. (Originally booked Wanting Deep Breathing, but it was fully booked. That one would have been better. The Dabaihua Hotel family room we chose has 2 rooms and 3 beds, so it's quite spacious.) There is a Xiangmanyuan Restaurant near the hotel, which is good and inexpensive. It has the best value for money on this trip, highly recommended. Day 3: Pass through the Birch Forest and feed the reindeer 🏨 Enhe Hawoer Enhe is a Russian town with a popular "lose your mind" bar. You can make big bread and Matryoshka dolls here, which is perfect for children. In the evening, you can ride a horse through the grassland to watch the sunset, which is quite comfortable. The view from the top of the mountain is excellent, but your butt will hurt after riding a horse for a long time. Enhe is full of wooden houses, and Hawoer is said to be the best hotel in Enhe, but it's just average, and the soundproofing is very poor. I don't know if all the hotels in Enhe are like this. Day 4: Check in to Heishantou 🏨 Grassland Here Yurt Remember to choose Area A 1- for the yurt, the view is good and there are no obstructions. The Grassland Here Hotel has grass sliding and a small train. There are also herdsmen experiences around, such as wearing ethnic costumes and milking cows. The kids loved these. Day 5: 🏨 Barag Tribe Wangye Mansion This yurt is large, with upstairs and downstairs. But I think the scenery is better at Heishantou. There are also folk customs experiences here. Children like to feed the sheep and participate in the lamb race. The horse dance performance here is quite famous, so you can go and see it. Day 6: Manzhouli 🏨 Matryoshka Hotel Remember to stay in the main building of the Matryoshka Hotel, otherwise the environment will not be good. There is also a Matryoshka Amusement Park next to it, with a grand circus. For food, I recommend the North Xinjiang Pearl Revolving Restaurant and Lubuli. The revolving restaurant offers views of the national gate and overlooks 3 countries, but the taste is average and not as good as Lubuli. The prices of the 2 restaurants are similar. Day 7: 🏨 Hulun Nur Remember to choose the Muhu room. We didn't book it, so we chose the Blue Lake room, which was super small and couldn't even fit our luggage. Day 8: Hailar Airport ✈️ 🌟 Food: We ate Northeastern cuisine and mutton every day, except for 2 Russian meals in Manzhouli. The food is not cheap, but the portions are quite large. 🌟 Accommodation: Basically no bad experiences. It's just that the hotel breakfasts, except for the first day at the Hilton, were very limited. 🌟 Activities: Except for Manzhouli, which is a city, the rest are grassland views, which are all similar. You can visit fewer places.
