Travel from Osaka to Tohoku for Cherry Blossoms: Hitome Senbonzakura

During spring, approximately a thousand cherry trees bloom spectacularly, covering the entire mountain like a pink blanket. Along the banks of the Shiroishi River, the cherry trees align beautifully, creating a breathtaking view of thousands of cherry blossoms in full bloom, known as "Hitome Senbonzakura." Every year, from early to late April, the "Shibata Cherry Blossom Festival" is held, attracting over 270,000 visitors from within and outside the prefecture. Additionally, visitors can enjoy hydrangeas in June and July, red spider lilies in September and October, and plum blossoms and daffodils in March. The area offers stunning seasonal flowers all year round. Transportation: From Osaka, you can take a domestic flight to Sendai Airport, with one-way tickets starting from a few hundred yen. The flight takes only two hours. From Sendai Airport, transfer to the subway to reach Sendai Station. Hitome Senbonzakura is located between Funaoka Station and Ogawara Station on the Tohoku Line. After exiting the station, it's just a short walk to the cherry blossom viewing area.
