Sisters, the Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival in Tibet is simply a fairyland! From the end of March to the beginning of April every year, the entire Nyingchi River Valley is surrounded by pink peach blossoms, which is breathtakingly beautiful! Today, I'm here to share my exclusive guide to help you enjoy this visual feast~ Transportation: It is recommended to fly directly to Nyingchi Mainling Airport, which is only 3,000m above sea level, so you don't have to worry about altitude sickness at all. If you have a limited budget, you can fly to Lhasa first, and then take a 5-hour bus ride. The scenery along the way is stunning! Accommodation: Be sure to book a room 1–2 months in advance! It is recommended to stay in Bayi Town, which is close to all the attractions. The Taohuayuan Inn, where I stayed, was great. When you open the window, you can see peach blossoms all over the mountains. The price is 200+ per person for a room with a view~ Must-see attractions: 1. Gala Peach Blossom Village: The official main venue, where the peach blossoms are the most dense. You can take great photos anywhere! It is recommended to arrive before 8am to avoid the crowds and see the misty fairyland effect. 2. Bomi Peach Blossom Valley: A 30 km-long peach blossom corridor that is great for self-driving! Remember to stop at Qingduo Town, where the ancient peach trees are hundreds of years old~ 3. Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon: The ultimate combination of peach blossoms and snow-capped mountains! Take the scenic sightseeing bus to Sosong Village to see Nanga Parbat and peach blossoms in the same frame. If you are lucky, you can also see "Sunrise over the Golden Mountain"! Food recommendations: 1. Stone pot chicken: Stewed with local medicinal herbs, the soup is fresh and the meat is tender, warming the heart and stomach~ 2. Yak beef hot pot: Served with Tibetan chili sauce, it's amazing! 3. Butter tea: It is recommended to choose the sweet one, as you may not be used to the salty one. Outfit tips: The temperature difference between morning and evening is large! Bring a down jacket + light spring clothes to layer Be sure to bring sunglasses! Don't believe in tour groups that say you can "visit all the attractions in one day," there's simply not enough time! 2. The toilet conditions in the scenic area are limited, so drink less water...you know. 3. Respect local customs and do not pick peach blossoms at will. Finally, a reminder: Altitude sickness is no joke! Take Rhodiola in advance, and rest for a day before playing when you arrive. Remember to bring enough sunscreen, the ultraviolet rays here will make you two shades darker in minutes!
