Chomphuwek Temple, Nonthaburi Province

It is a Mon temple built in the early Ayutthaya period. It has beautiful and distinctive architecture. It is more than 350 years old. There is a Maha-ut-style chapel behind the pagoda, which is in the same style as the pagoda in the city of Hongsawadi. There is a pediment decorated with stucco in the pattern of lotus flowers. In the middle of the flower is a blue and white porcelain and Benjarong. The arches of the doors and windows are stucco in the pattern of plants. There are ancient murals that show the stories of the Ten Lives of the Buddha and the life of the Buddha. All four sides are made of powdered paint mixed with glue in the Ayutthaya style. They were created by craftsmen from the Nonthaburi school. There is an image of the Goddess of the Earth squeezing her hair in a graceful and beautiful pose in a pointed glass pavilion.
