Tripcom Nature Joy✨

Ready to chase nature vibes and epic eats? Here’s my quick 3-day getaway to Nhongkhai and beyond, pure joy from start to finish! 🌿✨ 📅 Itinerary Day 1: Start with some travel goals – land at Udon Thani Airport, then drive for about 1 hour to the heart of Nhongkhai. When you arrive, refuel at one of the many cozy cafes downtown. If you’re into quirky spots, don’t miss ‘ชานชาลา’ (Chanchala) – it’s not just a cute cafe but also has a mini #museums Nhongkhai is a foodie’s paradise. Brunch or lunch at any of the local Vietnamese restaurants is also good choice. As the sun sets, head towards the city night market right by the Mekong River – the vibes are top-tier and very good view. Recommend to try some barbeque dishes with a cold drink – this spot gets a WHOLE lotta love from locals for a reason. We stayed at a minimal, nature-inspired #resorts that’s super warm and inviting (think chill vibes meets cute touches). There are plenty of nature-style hotels and resorts near the city center. Day 2: Grab breakfast at the hotel, then set off for the Nayung-Namsom National Park (อุทยานแห่งชาตินายูง-น้ำโสม) – it’s about a 1-hour scenic drive from Nhongkhai. Check the park’s latest opening hours before heading out (usually 6:00-18:00, but always confirm on Trip.com!). On your way, there are gorgeous temples worth a quick visit, totally Insta-worthy and peaceful! The national park itself is good for waterfall chasers. The walk is easy, and the friendly staff are always down to share insider tips. Park Address: Nayung-Namsom National Park (อุทยานแห่งชาตินายูง-น้ำโสม) Location: Tambon Na Yung, Amphoe Na Yung, Udon Thani, Thailand Day 3: Time to head back. You can drive to Udon Thani Airport (about 1 hour) and, if you’ve got some extra time, explore cool spots in Udon city. Don’t miss Thai restaurants on your way for some pre-flight foodie action. Feeling adventurous? #travel on to Vientiane, Laos (just across the border!). You can catch flights from Vientiane too—Trip.com’s got your back for booking the next leg. 🏨 Accommodation Stay at one of the nature-inspired resorts in Nhongkhai city center or discover more hotels on Trip.com for epic deals and reviews. 🍴 Food Recommendations Thai food like Somtam, Laab and grill fish for lunch. or noodle like Khaopiek Sen for breakfast is very famous. Plenty of cafes in Nongkhai and Udon - Chanchala Cafe & Museum (ชานชาลา), Nhongkhai city ce

Nong Khai is a province with many interesting things to explore, both history and tourist attractions. I had the opportunity to try the famous Nem Nuang. I had the opportunity to walk around the Mekong River Market nearby, but unfortunately, due to the past Covid situation, the market still looks quiet and not very lively. Most of the products are from China, but there are still some strange local food products to look at. The only disadvantage during this time is that it is hot, very hot.
