A historical site built on a dike: Sekijuku Castle Museum in Chiba Prefecture

The museum is located in Sekiyado, Noda City, which is the diversion point of the Edogawa River and the Tone River. The museum is built on the embankment and displays the flood control history of the Tone River and the Edogawa River, the culture and industry nurtured by the rivers, the Sekiyado clan, and the modern Sekiyado. Permanent exhibition tickets are ¥200, and special exhibition tickets are ¥300. The museum houses a large model of the Takase Boat, a faithful reproduction of the Sekijuku Castle Keep, and a three-dimensional model that recreates life at Sekijuku during the Edo period. There are also many historical sites around, such as Kanjuku Castle Park and the tombstone of Kinjiro Sekine.
